Does it work everywhere?
The confirmation popup appears for logged-in users on desktop and mobile web. Inside the YouTube mobile app the link simply opens your channel — still useful, just without the popup. Either way it's the official, safe way to ask for the sub; it never subscribes anyone automatically.
